About Me

 Charley Starr spent 20 years a photographer and photo editor at the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper. In 1985 he started "Shooting Starr" as a freelance business. From San Diego he went to work as a photographer at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. Charley moved  to Ketchikan, Alaska where he opened a photo studio 2006. Enjoying the small town life he does youth sports, school pictures, commercial photography, portraits, weddings and about anything else that comes his way! Shooting Starr Studio is a 1,000 sq ft fully equipped studio located at 325 Bawden Street in downtown Ketchikan.
